Program Overview
The Sigma Omicron Lambda (S.O.L.) Leadership Academy program aims to invest in students from the community by equipping them with essential skills that will empower them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
The S.O.L. Leadership Academy prepares young men to become more than productive citizens in society. Our mentees will complete the program with a fresh perspective and a comprehensive framework for personal development in leadership, service, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. To foster growth, mentees will engage in collaborative projects, participate in project-based learning, and communicate effectively to demonstrate their comprehension.

The S.O.L. Leadership Academy aims to...

Serve as a long-term resource and networking tool that aids in the leadership and development of young men.

"Miles truly enjoyed his time in this program over the last year. He learned a lot from the conversations on issues that he hadn't really considered, let alone discussed with others. All in all, he expressed that the things he learned in this leadership program really taught him how to grow as a person. As a mother, I am especially grateful to the men who have taken the time to share experiences and guide young men like my son to help prepare them for the future."
~Ms. Lewis (Parent)

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude and reflect on my enriching experience at the SOL Leadership Academy. Participating in this program has been a transformative journey that has significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth.Throughout the academy, I had the opportunity to engage with inspiring leaders, collaborate with diverse peers, and challenge myself in ways that expanded my perspective on leadership. The workshops, group activities, and mentorship sessions provided invaluable insights into effective communication, decision-making, and ethical leadership. I especially appreciated the emphasis on self-awareness and servant leadership, which has helped me become a more thoughtful and compassionate leader."
